The class is limited to four birthing teams, ensuring a personalized experience and allowing for meaningful discussions. The class is based on the Lamaze curriculum and is divided into three units: labor and birth, comfort measures, and life with baby.

    • Two 4-hour sessions in a cozy environment with yummy refreshments

    • A binder with a pen/pencil, paper for note taking, and a Lamaze International guidebook (Navigating Pregnancy and Birth) that aligns with the curriculum and offers space for thoughts and reflections

    • Make and Take tools designed for comfort during labor

    • Space for learning and asking questions

Placenta Encapsulation

  • Although many cultures have been using the placenta as a source of postpartum recovery for centuries, encapsulation has gained popularity in recent years. Limited research has been done due to costs but an abundance of annecdotal data verifies its benefits for postpartum recovery.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) placenta encapsulation involves steaming the placenta with herbs, dehydrating it, and grinding it into a powder to be placed into capsules. This method is believed by proponents to help balance hormones, increase energy, improve milk production, and support recovery.

Safety is of utmost importance and we complete food safety and blood borne pathogens courses as part of our comprehensive training.

You can rest assured we will take great care in preparing your placenta supplements so you can feel better during your postpartum recovery period.
